《老友记》官宣:永不重启、永无续集.网友:最美的结局,回忆里带去

This past September 22nd marked the 25th year anniversary of one of the best sitcoms in American history, Friends. As we follow the lives of six characters in the city of New York city, this classic comedy also became an important tool for Chinese students to learn English.

For y’all late to the party, Friends is about six close friends who live in New York city. The whole comedy series, spanning ten seasons, is about the daily lives and interactions of these six friends.
对于没看过剧的读者，你只需知道
《老友记》讲的是6个住在纽约的好朋友
的日常生活的故事。
整个剧跨越10年（季），
可以说是整整一代人的青春回忆。

But have you ever wondered what those characters would be up to in right now?

High School Musical is getting a reboot: well kind of, it’s actually more of musical mockumentary, the new series takes place in the same high school as the original cast, but has a whole new story line.
再比如《歌舞青春》也要重新翻拍
主要是歌曲的重新翻唱，
故事所在的学校不变，演员不变，
但换了全新的故事线。

And don’t forget Spiderman’s a million and one reboots, although we love every single one of them.
不过翻拍也有成功的例子

Which got a lot of Friends fans thinking, will we ever get a reboot of this classic?
Unfortunately, no.
这让很多爱《老友记》的人都在猜测，
它会不会也被翻拍？
不幸的是，没有。

The creator of the show, Marta Kauffman, revealed that there will NOT be a reboot for two reasons:

说明了自己不翻拍的两个原因：
“One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It’s not that time anymore. All we’d be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone.
“首先，这个剧是陪伴观众走过人生中一段时期的剧，在这段时期里朋友就像家人一样。而那段单纯的日子已经结束了，就像必然会长大的孩子。我们现在把6个演员重聚起来不难，但剧的内核已经不在了。”
Two, I don’t know what good it does us. The show is going just fine, people love it. [A reunion] could only disappoint.”
“其次，翻拍对这个剧没有好处。它的拍摄非常顺利，观众们爱它的结局，（重聚）只会让人失望。 ”

Oh, and just to make sure I completely crush all your hopes for a Friends reboot, I want to remind you what the co-creator of this hit show, David Crane, said about a possible reboot, “Never happening. Never. We did it! It’s done. That’s why you don’t want to see more of it because it’s all a happy ending.”

“这部剧永不重启。我们爱过，且已结束。没有人会满意后续，因为没有后续比当时的结局更美更幸福。”
I guess that’s just it, some things are better kept as memories.

Marta did talk with Us Magazine and revealed what she had in mind for where the characters of Friends are today:

“I think Monica and Chandler are together. They have their twins. They’re doing great. Joey, I think, has six kids. I think he’s married and has six kids. I think Ross and Rachel are still together and, Emma’s in therapy! And Phoebe and Mike are still together. Phoebe and Mike are definitely still together. And they have either adopted or fostered children.”
“我想莫妮卡和钱德会在一起，他们会有一对双胞胎，幸福的生活在一起；乔伊可能已经有6个孩子了吧？罗斯和瑞秋还在相爱相杀；艾玛还在接受心理治疗；菲比和麦克也在一起，他们要么收养要么自己抚养了孩子。”

They’ll always live on in our memories, but it won’t be the same memories if one day they came back to continue to tell their stories once again. The happiest endings will forever be in our memories.

如果再次回到银幕演绎着现在的生活
可能不尽是回忆中的样子了
最美的结局，就留在回忆里吧。
